Storm Clouds

Same general location as for this photo, but a different day and looking west rather than north.

It’s a short distance to Biscayne Bay over the photographer’s shoulder. This weather is typical for South Florida summers, with prevailing winds from the Southeast and afternoon thunderstorms forming inland over the Everglades and western suburbs.

Billowing storm clouds provide a dramatic backdrop to the landscape around the canal along Coconut Palm Drive (SW 248th Street) near Homestead, Florida. (
