Florida’s Biggest Export: Irony

Along SW 248th St. near the county landfill. There is a canal between parallel roads. (I don’t know which of these roads is SW 248th St. Maybe both of them are.) Along the canal was this shlocky painting with a nautical theme. Maybe it had fallen from a vehicle on its way to the dump. Irony overload.

Somehow I happened to be riding my bike there, and noticed the painting, and had a camera with me.

Wasn’t it Pasteur who said that chance favors the prepared mind of the obsessive photographer? Nah, he really said it’s better to be lucky than smart.
