This image is from the observation tower at Shark Valley in Everglades National Park, and was made with the Canon 70-200mm f/4 that has quickly become my favorite lens for nature and landscapes. The sun was setting behind us and the moon had risen ten or fifteen minutes earlier. It was a beautiful evening.

(The Photographer’s Ephemeris looks like a useful tool for planning shots of this type.)
