Everglades Storm

I made this photo earlier on the same morning as the Anhinga Trail pic I posted yesterday.

This storm was dramatic in appearance but not violent. There was no rotation or lightning. The air over the sawgrass was extremely humid and the clouds on the edge of the storm’s gust front extended almost to the ground. It was quite a sight.

Low clouds on the gust front of a morning rain storm move over the sawgrass prairie in Everglades National Park, Florida. (Jonathan Gewirtz jonathan@gewirtz.net)
