Morning Fog

At the pond on Long Pine Key. I have a number of fog-themed images from the same day and will post a selection of them here.

Wynwood

Strolling around Miami’s Wynwood gallery district on the final day of the 2013 Art Basel. Got there mid-afternoon, the place was packed, had to park several blocks away. Lots of color, energy, spray cans, tattoos, photo exhibits, pretty girls, great weather, people taking pictures. Fun to walk around with no agenda and check things out.

Storm Clouds

Same general location as for this photo, but a different day and looking west rather than north.

It’s a short distance to Biscayne Bay over the photographer’s shoulder. This weather is typical for South Florida summers, with prevailing winds from the Southeast and afternoon thunderstorms forming inland over the Everglades and western suburbs.

Billowing storm clouds provide a dramatic backdrop to the landscape around the canal along Coconut Palm Drive (SW 248th Street) near Homestead, Florida. (Jonathan.Gewirtz@gmail.com)

Florida Keys

A small key, name forgotten. A nice place to park your boat and slip into the warm green water.
