Strolling around Miami’s Wynwood gallery district on the final day of the 2013 Art Basel. Got there mid-afternoon, the place was packed, had to park several blocks away. Lots of color, energy, spray cans, tattoos, photo exhibits, pretty girls, great weather, people taking pictures. Fun to walk around with no agenda and check things out.

Same general location as for this photo, but a different day and looking west rather than north.
It’s a short distance to Biscayne Bay over the photographer’s shoulder. This weather is typical for South Florida summers, with prevailing winds from the Southeast and afternoon thunderstorms forming inland over the Everglades and western suburbs.
Looking towards the marine stadium, Rickenbacker Causeway and the William Powell Bridge.
A small key, name forgotten. A nice place to park your boat and slip into the warm green water.
Just before sunset on the Miami River.
On the Miami River near downtown.
At Shark Valley in Everglades National Park.
